Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a consortium? In a consortium, multiple people have the opportunity to contribute to a new piece of music for exclusive benefits at a price considerably lower than a traditional commission. This particular consortium is even lower-priced than the traditional consortium to provide additional accessibility to students.

One individual typically serves as the leader of the consortium, and that individual or group typically holds the privilege of giving the world premiere. This consortium's leader is Buddy Deshler.

Do I have to play trumpet to join? Of course not! Anyone who wishes to support this project can join and will receive the same benefits, whether they play the trumpet or not.

Will this piece be for sale to the public once it's complete? Yes, but not immediately. After the consortium's exclusivity period ends, the piece will be for sale to the general public. This gives a guaranteed chance for consortium members to plan their own performances if they wish to be among the first to play the piece for an audience.

Do I have to perform the piece if I join the consortium? Nope! There is no requirement to perform this piece.
