Marching Arts Compositions and Arrangements
As a competitive marching band composer and arranger, Marcus Grant's clients have consistently received superior ratings at state marching assessments and have secured best music, best general effect, first place overall awards, and Grand Champion titles over the past few years. Marcus has also written and arranged stand tunes and show tunes for college pep bands, including the Virginia Commonwealth University Athletic Band (known as the VCU Peppas).
Below are a few examples of Marching Band and Drum Corps shows and stand tunes Marcus has written or arranged. While all drum corps examples are conceptual, many of the Marching Band Shows have been performed live. For all the below examples, Marcus has written brass and woodwind parts with percussion cues, and instances where full percussion parts exist involve one of the talented and trusted percussion arrangers with whom he works on a regular basis. However, Marcus does also write percussion for clients upon request. Visit the Contact Tab at the top of this website if you are interested in finding out more about hiring him to compose or arrange your marching ensemble's show this upcoming season.
